Child Safety & CSAE Policy

Our commitment

GyDate is an adults-only (18+) dating community for gay men. We are committed to preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on our platform and to cooperating with authorities when illegal activity is identified.

These Child Safety Standards supplement our Community Guidelines, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy. They describe how we prohibit CSAE, how users can report concerns, and how we respond.

Zero tolerance for CSAE

We prohibit all forms of child sexual abuse and exploitation, including but not limited to:

• Any sexual content involving minors (real or depicted)
• Grooming, solicitation, or attempted contact with minors for sexual purposes
• Sharing, requesting, or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
• Trafficking or exploitation of minors in any form
• Using GyDate to facilitate harm to children offline or online
• Accounts belonging to or operated on behalf of minors

Violations are treated as the most serious breach of our policies. We do not issue warnings for CSAE-related conduct — accounts are permanently banned and relevant data is preserved for investigation.

18+ age requirement

GyDate is strictly for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly permit minors to create accounts or use the Service.

• Users must confirm they are 18+ before signing in with Google
• Profile age must be accurate — misrepresenting age is grounds for immediate removal
• Accounts suspected of belonging to minors are suspended pending review and removed
• We do not collect personal information from anyone under 18

If you believe a minor is using GyDate, report it immediately using the steps below.

Prohibited conduct & content

In addition to CSAE, the following are strictly forbidden on GyDate:

• Any reference to, depiction of, or discussion of sexual activity involving minors
• “Age play” or role-play implying underage participants
• Links to external sites hosting CSAM or exploitative material
• Attempts to move conversations with apparent minors to other platforms
• Encouraging minors to bypass age restrictions or create accounts

Detection & prevention

We use a combination of measures to reduce CSAE risk on GyDate:

• User reporting — Block and Report tools in every profile and chat
• Moderation review — Reports flagged for CSAE or minors are prioritised
• Account enforcement — Immediate suspension and permanent bans for confirmed or strongly suspected CSAE
• Adults-only positioning — Service design, sign-up consent, and guidelines make clear that GyDate is not for minors
• Staff training — Safety reports involving minors or CSAE are handled with urgency and documented internally

How to report CSAE or underage users

If you encounter CSAE, suspected minors, or related safety concerns, report immediately:

In the GyDate app or website

1. Open the user's profile or chat
2. Tap or click Report
3. Select the most relevant reason (e.g. underage user, inappropriate content)
4. Add any helpful details and submit

By email (CSAE / urgent child safety)

Email support@gydate.com with subject line "CSAE Report" and include:

• The reported user's profile name and any user ID if visible
• Screenshots or description of the concerning content or behaviour
• Date and time of the incident
• Your contact email (optional, for follow-up)

Do not attach or forward illegal imagery. Describe the concern in text only. If you have encountered CSAM, report it to appropriate authorities (see below) in addition to notifying us.

If a child is in immediate danger

Contact local emergency services first (e.g. 112 in India, 911 in the US). Then report to us and to relevant national hotlines such as the NCMEC CyberTipline (US) or your local equivalent.

How we respond to reports

When we receive a CSAE or minor-safety report, we:

• Prioritise review and aim to act as quickly as possible
• Suspend or permanently ban accounts involved in suspected CSAE
• Preserve relevant account data and logs as required for investigation
• Remove violating content from our systems where we control it
• Escalate to law enforcement or child protection organisations when required by law or when we believe a child is at risk
• Do not notify the reported user of the specific reporter identity

We may be unable to share the outcome of an investigation with reporters due to privacy and legal constraints, but all good-faith CSAE reports are taken seriously.

Cooperation with authorities

GyDate complies with applicable laws regarding child safety and CSAE. Where legally required or appropriate, we report suspected CSAM and child exploitation to:

• National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline — report.cybertip.org
• Local law enforcement in relevant jurisdictions
• Other authorised child protection bodies as applicable

We respond to valid legal requests from authorities related to child safety investigations in accordance with applicable law.
