Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GyDate("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of our website, Android application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, signing in with Google, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

Eligibility

To use GyDate, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be legally permitted to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
• Not have been previously banned or removed from GyDate

GyDate is a dating community for gay men seeking friendships, dating, and meaningful connections. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements. Accounts found to belong to minors will be terminated immediately.

Your account

Registration

You create an account by signing in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs under your GyDate profile.

Profile accuracy

• Provide truthful information about your age, name, and location
• Use photos that accurately represent you — no impersonation or catfishing
• Maintain one account per person; duplicate accounts may be removed
• Keep your profile information up to date

Account security

Notify us immediately at support@gydate.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorized use of your account where you failed to secure your Google credentials.

Our services

GyDate provides features that may include:

• Profile creation and discovery of other members
• Real-time text and image messaging
• Audio calls for premium subscribers (via Agora)
• Block, report, and safety tools
• Premium subscription features (filters, calls, badges)
• Blog content and community resources on our website

We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes to core functionality, but we do not guarantee any specific feature will remain available indefinitely.

Acceptable use

You agree to use GyDate in compliance with these Terms and our Community Guidelines. You must not:

• Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or discriminate against other users
• Post explicit, pornographic, or sexually graphic content in profiles or chat
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity, age, or intentions
• Solicit money, run scams, or engage in commercial advertising or spam
• Share another person's private information without their consent
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access or collect user data
• Attempt to bypass security features, access others' accounts, or reverse-engineer the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to facilitate illegal activity
• Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement.

User content

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit (profile photos, messages, bio text). By posting content on GyDate, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and transmit your content solely to operate and improve the Service (e.g., delivering messages to recipients, showing your profile in discovery).

Our rights

We may review, remove, or restrict content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, or that we reasonably believe poses a safety risk. We are not obligated to monitor all user content but reserve the right to do so.

Reporting infringement

If you believe content on GyDate infringes your rights, contact support@gydate.com with details and we will review your report.

Premium subscriptions & payments

Plans & pricing

GyDate offers optional premium subscriptions. Current plans on our website include:

• Weekly: ₹49 per week
• Monthly: ₹149 per month — Most popular
• Yearly: ₹1499 per year (Best Value)

Prices are displayed in INR (₹) on the website and may vary by platform or region. Taxes may apply where required by law.

Billing & renewal

• Payments are processed securely by Stripe — we do not store your full card details
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal
• You can cancel through your account settings or by contacting support@gydate.com
• Cancelling stops future charges; you retain premium access until the end of the paid period

Refunds

Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws and Stripe's policies. Generally, partial refunds are not provided for unused portions of a subscription period unless required by law. Safety & moderation

Your safety is important to us, but GyDate cannot guarantee the identity, intentions, or behavior of any user. You use the Service at your own risk.

• Use block and report tools when someone makes you uncomfortable
• Meet in public places if you choose to meet someone offline
• Never send money to someone you met on GyDate
• Trust your instincts and leave situations that feel unsafe

We may investigate reports and take action including warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans. See our Community Guidelines for full details. We maintain zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) — see our Child Safety Standards.

Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party providers including:

• Google / Firebase — authentication, database, push notifications
• Stripe — payment processing
• Agora — real-time audio calls
• Cloudinary — image hosting (when used)

Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

Intellectual property

The GyDate name, logo, website design, app interface, and original content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our Service without written permission.

You may not use our trademarks, branding, or name in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without our consent.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times
• You will find matches, dates, or specific outcomes from using the Service
• Other users are who they claim to be or will behave appropriately
• Any defects or errors will be corrected within a specific timeframe

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GyDate and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or personal injury arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service
• Conduct or content of other users or third parties
• Unauthorized access to your account or data
• Offline meetings arranged through the Service

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is greater.

Termination

By you

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion by emailing support@gydate.com. See our Privacy Policy for data deletion details.

By us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or if we reasonably believe your account poses a safety or legal risk. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation by contacting support@gydate.com. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
